I have always been an artistic
person. Maybe it's because my birthday is in September and I usually
got a new box of Crayola's and a blank notebook for the schoolyear. Or
maybe because I spent many summers at my dad's warehouse coloring
pictures with hi-lighters and running my own series of prints on the
copy machine. But somewhere along the way I knew I wanted to be an
artist. I was fortunate enough to grow up in a rural part of town
where I
learned how to recognize beauty in unsightly places and find amusement
with simple things. God must have planted me there because creativity
can't grow in crowded soil, and apparently kids that make their own
toys have more fun, (although I'm not totally convinced my cardboard
barns were as much fun as the fancy wooden toy
ones would have been.) But I am so grateful for my gift. It has been a blessing in my life and I hope I can bring joy to others through art as well. Happy browsing!
